The title of this post is a play on the title of a book by Jimmy Breslin that became a movie with a young Robert DeNiro. The recent and ongoing press about the challenges of Healthcare.gov reminded me of the title.
Now, not to jump on the bandwagon and join the chorus of those lambasting the Administration and HHS for the incredible amount of time and money spend on a web site that doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do, I look to someone I consider a pro when it comes to such topics, and that is Jakob Nielsen. Because the latest issue contains a non-political, user perspective on why the web site offers so many challenges. You read it and go, “Duh!” I mean it’s like Web Design 101.
