Stream of Consciousness

The River Liffey

In graduate school I read Ulysses by James Joyce. Truth be told, if not for the fact that a grade was attached and the professor was a character, I would not have read it.

The literary style that Joyce created is called stream of conscious. That is not how he wrote his masterpiece. It has to do with the characters and the plot in the novel.

Just wanted to clarify. So don’t pile on thought after thought in your blog or other social media pages and think it’s cool because your readers will see your stream of consciousness. It ain’t.

PS: One more advantage of blogging as a team.
