I recently had coffee and conversation with a gentleman who had started a consulting business with an emphasis on helping businesses develop an effective sales team. His background was in sales and part of his motivation for starting this new venture was, he said, to give something back to the business community.
I thought that was great. Then this past weekend I read in the Wall Street Journal Magazine an article about Ira Glass, the PSB commentator, and Tavi Gevsinson, a teenage from the mid-west who has made a name for herself as a blogger.
I had not heard of Tavi or her blog (I don’t fit the female tween profile) but I have heard of and listened to Mr. Glass. I think it’s cool. I think taking skills you have developed over time and sharing them with others is cool.
So read the WSJ article and take a look at Tavi’s blog.
Who can you help?
