Forming Continues

An earlier post announced the formation of a team of bloggers, all of whom have professions related to healthcare. The rationale for having a team “run” the blog was to share the responsibility for creating posts, to provide a variety of professional opinions and to begin establishing this team as the SMEs in the region. As the forming of the team progresses, we offer a checklist for those considering similar actions.

  • Set deadlines. People have busy schedules, families, etc. and despite interest, even excitement, about the venture, life gets in the way.
  • Copy everyone. To avoid having to send and re-send or reply and forward, get the team to create a team directory. Makes life easier. Why? See number 1.
  • Be patient. If you write a lot and are good at it, remember that others are not. Or if they are, putting their thoughts (professional and personal) out for others to read and comment upon can be a big step.
  • Heap on the praise.
