We came across an article on the Internet suggesting a seven-step process for anyone looking for a writer to develop marketing materials for a company. While each of the steps are valid, if you are a business owner or even the person in a company responsible for such “searches,” it can be time-consuming and frustrating.
Here’s an idea. Have an advisory team of six people who are interested in these types of “exercises.” Develop a brief statement for the creative direction, develop a rudimentary budget, guidelines, deadlines, etc. Then ask each member of the team to take responsibility for one of the six steps. It will make the work go more smoothly and more quickly.
Q: Has assigning individual roles and action steps worked for your team?
